explore the nature of Rabot Estate
Pick up a map and head out on our self-guided, estate trails
The Jurassic Trail
Start on a shaded trail past our working cacao farm and through the Marcial cacao grove. Then, you’ll join the boardwalk taking you around the hidden Rabot lake, where you can spot the diverse nature of the estate. Perfect for an early morning stroll before breakfast or evening time before sunset.
Bois Nef, cacao grove walk
A must-see spot! Come and explore one of our most beautiful and newest cacao groves, with young trees that have already started bearing pods. This walk offers a lovely view of the estate from another angle – but the truly spectacular scene here is the white egrets clustering on their favourite tree at about 5pm.
The big nature view, walk
A breathtaking view from the highest point of Rabot Estate, with a 360-degree portrait of Soufrière basin, Mount Gimme, and both Pitons framing the Caribbean Sea. One of the best views in Saint Lucia and well worth the walk up! You will pass through Project Chocolat on route, and can grab a well-deserved refreshment from the Cacao Bar.
The Old French Road, trail
The longest of our walks. This truly scenic route takes you cross-country along the old stone road soldiers used during the Battle of Rabot in 1795. The first part of the trail is a gentle climb with stunning views of the estate and mountains beyond. Once you reach the top you’re rewarded with a downhill stroll back down to the main road.

Herb garden visit
The produce used in our Rabot Restaurant is primarily grown here on the estate or locally sourced and can be traced from farm to table. Our agricultural team have nurtured a herb garden lush with mint, garlic, chives, parsley, basil, lemon balm, thyme and more. Visit for yourself and pick some herbs to bring back to the Cacao Bar to include in a cocktail or herbal tea.
