REIMAGINING CHOCOLATE

Hotel Chocolat was founded by Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris with the intention to reinvent chocolate and make it exciting again.

They were guided by three basic values – originality, authenticity, and ethics. Everything we do is still guided by these three values that we started with over 20 years ago – and it always will be…

Today, we sell our premium chocolate in stores, cafés, outlets and online in the UK and online in the USA. Here in Saint Lucia, on the Rabot Estate, we grow sustainable cacao on the farm, have the boutique Rabot Hotel, restaurant and spa, and host immersive chocolate tours at Project Chocolat.

Cacao takes centre stage in all our chocolate.

Our mantra is “more cacao, less sugar“. We savour the deeply satisfying taste that cacao-loaded chocolate provides, and we never compromise on this.

We’ve spent 20 years obsessively developing a deep understanding of flavour, and individual tastes and preferences, creating over 100 recipes. In our UK stores, you are greeted by a Wall of Chocolate. In Saint Lucia, our very own wall of chocolate at Project Chocolat showcases the fine-flavour chocolate made using cacao from the Rabot Estate and other farmers on Saint Lucia, who are part of our Island Growers’ programme.
