Travelling to Saint Lucia

Do I need a visa?

Holders of UK, European Community or US passports need no visa. However, everyone arriving in Saint Lucia must complete the online immigration form no more than 3 days prior to arrival. You can find more information on that here.

What’s the currency?

Two currencies are used and both acceptable everywhere – US Dollars and Eastern Caribbean Dollars. We work with US Dollars at the hotel.

Do I need to pre-book a hire car?

If you wish, or we can arrange for you when you arrive.

Do you provide airport transfers?

We can arrange a private airport transfer for you, to/from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The transfer takes approximately 45 minutes and costs $80 per couple each way.  Additional persons will be charged at an extra $20 per person. We can also arrange taxis to/from George F. L. Charles Airport – please get in touch for a quote.

What time is check-in/ check-out?

Check in is from 1500h and check out is by 1200h.

Is the hotel available for exclusive use?

The hotel is an ideal escape for groups as the entire property can be hired for private use. Please contact us for more details. We have 25 rooms and also have arrangements with nearby partner hotels if required.

Is the hotel Suitable for Children?

The terrain, atmosphere and activities will not suit every age. That’s why we welcome adult guests (over 18) exclusively because we want you to enjoy our 250-year-old Rabot estate to the utmost.

Is there provision for disabled guests?

Unfortunately, due to the steep terrain and uneven landscape, we are not able to accommodate wheelchairs.

Is there a 24 hour front desk?

No, our Front Desk team are available from 0700h – 2300h. We do have 24 hour security who can be contacted in cases of emergency outside of the Front Desk opening times.

What type of adaptor is needed?

The plugs and voltages are the same as the UK. US guests will need a 3 pronged UK style adaptor.

What sort of clothing should I take?

It is never cold, so don’t worry about that. As it is close to the rainforest, we occasionally experience tropical downpours, but these often last only a matter of minutes. As well as the usual swimming trunks etc, we recommend bringing a good sun and water resistant hat, a slip-over waterproof, small rucksack and trainers/light walking boots if you are intending to be active.The dress code for Boucan evening dinner is smart/casual and ladies a cocktail dress is never out of place!

Do the rooms have air-conditioning?

There is no air-conditioning at Rabot Hotel. The design is an open-air concept. The elevated position of the property (1000 feet above sea level) allows us to benefit from cross-sea breezes. There are ceiling and standing fans in all the rooms.

Can you add additional beds to the rooms?

No, all our rooms only accommodate two adults. Each room has a king/super king double bed and we are unable to add additional beds.

Is there access to a beach?

There is no beach on the Rabot Estate. The nearest beach is Malgretoute beach, just a ten-minute drive away. We offer a complimentary, twice-daily shuttle to the beach. Anything purchased at the hotel there can be charged back to your room at Rabot Hotel.

Is Wifi available?

There is complimentary Wifi available for guests across the resort.

What’s in my room?

You can find a list of inclusions here. Please note, we are trying to eliminate single use plastic bottles, so please do bring your own portable water bottles if you own any. We do provide complimentary spring water to our guests, in glass bottles.

Exploring the Rabot Estate

Can we explore the cacao farm on The Rabot Estate?

Yes, we actively encourage our guests to explore then network of trails that weave through our cacao groves. All our hotel guests who stay a minimum of 3 nights receive a complimentary Tree to bean tour of the cacao farm at Project Chocolat, and can upgrade to include the Bean to Bar experience at a discounted price.

Weddings at Rabot hotel

We’re getting married at Rabot Hotel – what documentation do we need to bring?

  • Passports (If you have ever had a name change, you will also need to bring your birth certificate).
  • The immigration form copy you receive upon entering Saint Lucia.
  • Full addresses/occupation of both.
  • Divorced partners require the original divorce papers, which must show a proper seal or stamp, an official signature and must clearly state the decree absolute of the divorce.
  • If the original divorce document cannot be made available, a court certified photocopy must be obtained, bearing the appropriate original seals and/or stamps. If the divorce papers are in a foreign language, a certified translation into English must be obtained prior to arrival and this translation must be brought along in addition to the original divorce papers.
  • Widowed wedding participants need to bring along the original death certificate and official translation if in a foreign language.
