The Tet Paul Nature Trail
Nestled on six acres of lush, verdant land in the farming community of Chateau Belair. Hiking the trail is like soaring heavenward on a beautiful, natural staircase. It boasts spectacular views of the Petit Piton and Gros Piton, as well as Martinique and St. Vincent on clear days. It’s an easy to moderate hike and takes roughly 45 minutes.
Soufriere experience
On this half-day tour, you’ll visit the world’s only drive-in volcano and take a dip in the Sulphur Springs on route to the picturesque waterfall at the Diamond Falls and wander through the Botanical Gardens. As these are some of the island’s most popular tourist attractions, they are a must-see for all.
ATLANTIC SHORES HORSE RIDING
Embark on an unforgettable horseback adventure, perfect for beginners and experienced riders alike. Atlantic Shore’s friendly staff and gentle, Creole horses take you through gently rolling hills, dramatic and steep sea cliffs towering over the Atlantic Ocean before heading to experience the magic of horse riding on a tropical beach.
Gros Piton Climb
Enjoy a breathtaking hike to the summit of the Gros Piton. The first half of the trail is a gentle slope, where the Caribbean Sea and the village of Choiseul can be seen to the south. The second half involves a steep ascent to the Gros Piton summit and is intended for the more adventurous hiker. This climb is approximately 3 – 4 hours round trip.
Sapphire falls
Discover one of the island’s off-the-beaten-track waterfalls during this unique experience. Take a 30-minute hike through the rainforest and down into the river valley with your knowledgeable guide. You’ll learn about the flora and fauna all around you – keep your eyes peeled for Saint Lucia’s rare national bird, the Amazona Versicolor Parrot!
Morne Coubrail ZIPLINE
The Hotwire zipline combines the adrenaline rush of zipping under the sheer Petit Piton with elevated views of the historic town of Soufrière and the Caribbean Sea. After a training demonstration, you’re ready for fun. Eight zip cables move you effortlessly through the estate with views of the Piton and town, before being carried into a canopy of trees and across a bamboo-shadowed gorge.
Malgretoute Beach
Hop on our twice-daily, complimentary shuttle to Malgretoute beach – only a ten minute drive away. Located on a small, unpaved access along Sugar Beach Road, this beautiful beach that features some of the best snorkelling on the island, awaits. You can enjoy the sun loungers, water sports and drinks service for a supplementary fee (that can be charged back to your room at Rabot).
adventures at sea
At Hotel Chocolat Saint Lucia, we own our very own boat, the Boucanier I. Jump onboard to explore the beautiful Caribbean coastal scenes and wildlife – above and below the water. There are a number of boat excursions to choose from. Our sunset cruise is particularly popular – be sure to keep your eyes peeled for dolphins! See the full list of boat excursions available here.
